FocusNest ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you apply to participate in a FocusNest homeowner focus group, how we use that information, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully before submitting your application.

1. Information We Collect

When you complete our application form or otherwise interact with FocusNest, we may collect the following:

Information you provide directly

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• ZIP code or general location
• Home service interests and project priorities
• Estimated project timeline
• Homeownership status and property type

Information collected automatically

• IP address and approximate geographic region
• Browser type and device information
• Pages visited and time spent on our site
• Referral source (how you found us)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Matching you with focus groups. We use your service interests, location, and timeline to identify sessions you are a good fit for and to send you invitations.
• Session communications. We contact you via email or phone to confirm participation, share session details, and follow up after sessions.
• Improving our program. Aggregate, anonymized data helps us understand what homeowners care about and improve session quality.
• Optional service provider connections. If you expressly opt in, we may share your contact information and project interests with vetted local service providers in our network so they can reach out to you. This is always opt-in — we will ask for your explicit permission before any such sharing.

3. What We Do Not Do

We take your trust seriously. Here is what we will never do:

• We do not sell your data. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• We do not share without consent. Your information is not shared with service providers, sponsors, or advertisers unless you have explicitly opted in or it is required to operate the program (e.g., a platform we use to deliver session invites).
• We do not use your data for unrelated marketing. We will only contact you about FocusNest sessions and related program updates unless you request otherwise.

4. Service Providers and Partners

We work with a small number of trusted third-party service providers who help us operate FocusNest — for example, email delivery platforms and form processing tools. These providers access your data only as needed to perform services on our behalf, and are contractually required to protect it. We do not permit them to use your data for their own purposes.

If you opt into connections with local service providers, those providers receive only the information necessary to follow up with you about your specific project interests. Each provider in our network is reviewed before being admitted.

5. How We Protect Your Data

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Access controls limiting who on our team can view personal information
• Regular review of data handling practices

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to operate the program and communicate with you about sessions. If you withdraw consent or request deletion, we will remove your personal information from our active systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or administrative purposes.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You have the right to:

• Withdraw consent at any time — simply email us and we will stop contacting you
• Request deletion of your personal information from our records
• Access or correct the information we hold about you
• Opt out of any service provider connections, even if you previously opted in

8. Children's Privacy

FocusNest is intended for adults who are homeowners. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify active participants by email. Continued participation after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
